1994

The Beginning

Headquartered in Houston, Texas, LaRuche Imports was founded in 1994 as an importer and wholesaler of premium Norwegian and Icelandic Stockfish. Wild-caught cod harvested from the cold North Atlantic has long been recognized around the world as one of the healthiest and most nutritious seafood products available.

Today, LaRuche Imports has grown into the largest importer and wholesale distributor of Norwegian and Icelandic Stockfish products in the United States under the leadership of founder, President and CEO Mr. Uche G. Kanu.

Expanding Our Product Line

Growing customer demand inspired us to introduce The Queen of the Coast® Brand products, including world-famous Portuguese Sardines, Tuna, Tuna Salads and other premium canned seafood.

Produced by Ramirez & Ca. in Portugal, with more than 160 years of seafood expertise, these products are regarded as some of the finest seafood products available worldwide.

Every product is naturally smoked using a proprietary blend of chemical-free hardwood sawdust and carefully processed to preserve exceptional taste, freshness, and nutritional value.
